The Great Escape 2025: English Teacher lead more than 100 new acts on line-up

The Great Escape has added over 100 new artists to the 2025 line-up, including Mercury Prize winners English Teacher. Check out the updated bill below.This year’s edition of the festival will take place in Brighton from May 14-17, and has already confirmed details of a spotlight show with Pete Doherty and Warmduscher.

The latter is curated by Doherty’s record label, Strap Originals and will be held at the Deep End venue on Brighton’s beachfront.Now, it has been revealed that English Teacher will be joining the 2025 bill for The Great Escape, and set to perform hits from across their Mercury Prize-winning debut album ‘This Could Be Texas’.They join the first wave of artists confirmed at the end of last year, including CATTY, Miss Kaninna and Luvcat.Organisers have also revealed over 100 new additions to the line-up, including indie stars like Welly, The Bug Club, She’s In Parties, Nxdia, Tough Cookie, Home Counties, Greg Freeman, Adult DVD, and many more.Among the new rap artists are Yay Jordan and CHAII, while new electronic additions include Debby Friday, Polite Bureaux and Mike Lindsay.

Elsewhere, NME 100 rising star Karen Dió will be leading the way for the new punk, metal and rock names, along with BEX, Post Profit, Zetra and more.Also confirmed to perform at the 2025 festival are The Rosadocs, 88 Miles, Paige Kennedy, Ray Silvers, big long sun, Ideal Living, Last Apollo, Louis Gardner, My First Time, The Rolling People, Fiona-Lee, Preoccupations, Scrounge, Bad Buddy, Holiday Ghosts, DoFlame, Alice Costelloe, Benjami Amaru and O’Phantom,Find the new names in the poster below.A post shared by The Great Escape Festival (@greatescapefest)As well as the new artists joining the bill, organisers for The Great Escape have.
