Charli XCX and Lorde put rumors of a feud and any potential bad blood to rest with the release of “the girl, so confusing version with Lorde.” On Friday (June 21), the 31-year-old “Boom Clap” hitmaker joined forces with the 27-year-old “Royals” singer for a remix of the song, which is from her new album Brat.

The original version of the song is about a fellow female pop star who Charli has been pitted against. While it wasn’t official, some fans believed that she was singing about Lorde because the pair have often drawn comparisons.

On the new version, Lorde and Charli seem to work things out.
