The mother of quadruplets has been secretly dealing with mental health issues in the soap for months as she’s struggled to cope with her babies as well as bullies.
Viewers have been watching the pressure mount on Gemma since her four babies were born in October. She was mocked and shunned by other mums at a baby group and her anxiety came to a head recently when she had a terrifying dream that she’d put one of the babies in the washing machine.
Before that an arsonist put a flaming rag through her door as she slept, then she and Chesney were told one of the quads Aled had been born deaf.
