The First Images From The 'Law & Order' Revival Were Just Released
justjared.comNBC has revealed the first look at the Law & Order revival series, set to premiere later this month on the network.
The show will bring back Sam Waterston and Anthony Anderson, and will also star Jeffrey Donovan, Camryn Manheim, Hugh Dancy and Odelya Halevi. Sam and Anthony, who were on the original series’ final season, “jumped” at the chance to return. Click inside to see what they said… Sam recalled that producer Dick Wolf had been talking about bringing Law & Order back “five years ago and I don’t think he’s ever stopped talking about it.” “One of the reasons that we’re back is because of his persistence and determination — and his conviction that it was a terrible mistake to stop in the first place,” he added during the TCA panel this week. “The other reason we’re coming back is because we stopped making the shows, but the audience never stopped watching them.
The audience’s persistent appetite for Law & Order is a major reason why we’re back, so thanks to them.” As for Anthony, he called Dick to be part of it as soon as he found out the show was returning. “He was excited to hear from me,” he said. “Ending eight seasons on Black-ish and coming back to an iconic show like Law & Order was a no-brainer for me.
