Warner Records, in partnership with CMNTY RCRDS, has signed masked artist RMR, who last month scored a viral YouTube hit with the video for his song "Rascal," a reworking of Rascal Flatts’ 2000 track “Bless the Broken Road.” The deal was announced Friday (April 10).
RMR is the premier artist on the roster of CMNTY RCRDS, which is led by Phil Lawrence, Malik Rasheed and Chief Johnson. “We’re excited to partner with our longtime friends at CMNTY for RMR, who is an artist unlike any other,” said Warner Records co-chairman and CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck in a statement. “RMR’s raw talent and urgent sound have ignited a cultural firestorm, and Tom Corson and I are thrilled to welcome him to the Warner Records family.” The first release under the new
