‘The Crown’ Writer Meriel Sheibani-Clare Signs With Artists First

EXCLUSIVE: Following her Emmy nomination for her work on the final season of Netflix’s The Crown, writer Meriel Sheibani-Clare has taken on U.S.

representation and signed with Artists First. Sheibani-Clare began writing for the hit series The Crown in its fourth season.

Her episode “Ritz,” co-written with Peter Morgan for the drama’s final season, was nominated for a 2024 Emmy Award under the category of, “Outstanding Writing For Drama Series,” and a Humanitas Prize.

She and Morgan will continue their partnership on a new project they are currently writing for Netflix. Born and raised in the United Kingdom, Sheibani-Clare earned her BA in English Literature from Oxford University and her MA in Modern Literature from Queen Mary.
