EXCLUSIVE: The Crown‘s success has helped bestow gifts upon the employees of Left Bank Pictures. As the curtain fell on the Netflix series, staffers at the British production company pocketed bonuses totaling more than £10M ($13M) in March last year.

The payday was disclosed in a UK Companies House filing by Sony Pictures Television, which loaned Left Bank £10.1M to fund the financial incentive.

Sony and Left Bank declined to comment on the reasons for the bonus and whether it was out of the ordinary, but it coincided with filming wrapping on The Crown’s final season last April.

Left Bank’s website shows the company has 36 members of staff, meaning the bonuses would have averaged out at more than £280,000 per employee.
