Deadline, Oprah said of the upcoming movie: ‘We were all blown away by Blitz’s unique vision as a director and look forward to seeing how he brings the next evolution of this beloved story to life.’Bazawule was the brains behind Beyonce’s film Black Is King that aired on Disney Plus last month.The visual album was filmed over the course of a year, with Bazawule in the directing char.

It’s based on songs from Beyonce’s album The Lion King: The Gift. Speaking about the film on Good Morning America, Beyonce says she hopes it help to ‘shift global perception’ when it comes to what it means to be Black.She said: ‘My hope for this movie is that it shifts the global perception about the word “black”.
