The Chase star Shaun Wallace responds to claims his nickname is offensive

The Chase star Shaun Wallace says nobody should find his Dark Destroyer nickname offensive. Shaun has impressed viewers on the ITV quiz show since 2009.

But a London lawyer sparked debate during Lorraine on Monday after claiming she doesn't let her children watch the programme due to what they call the popular Chaser.

She said on the show: "We have a fantastic game show but it's a quiz show where the only person who is black is named 'The Dark Destroyer'. "Now I do not let my children to watch the first 10 minutes of this amazing quiz show because I do not want my kids to hear this amazing Mastermind champion described purely down to the colour of his skin." Chaser Shaun, 60, was clearly unimpressed by what was said.
