The Chase star Anne Hegarty has revealed that Love Island's Maura Higgins could be in the running to win the brand new series of Cooking With The Stars. The show, back for its second season, will see famous faces partner up with well-established chefs - who will mentor, guide and take them from non-professional, to professional restaurant level chefs.

In each episode, the celebs will compete against each other, with a series of cooking battles. The judges will then be blind-folded by the professional chefs, unaware of whose food they are tasting - meaning they could find themselves voting their apprentice out of the competition.

On her own cooking ability, 63-year-old quizzing queen Anne said: "I have no flair for cooking, I really don’t, I have no palette. "I really don’t know what I'm looking for when I’m asked to taste the food, I’ve absolutely no idea if what I’m tasting is what it’s supposed to be or not, I just don’t know." Despite claiming not to be much of a home cook, The Governess believes that her success rate depended on "how much pressure" she was under - admitting that a pan of stir-fried rice with from frozen veggies tends to be her go-to meal at home.

Joining the show are middle distance and retired athlete Dame Kelly Holmes, TV'S Dr Ranj, Strictly's Anton Du Beke, comedy star Joe Wilkinson, This Morning presenter Josie Gibson, social media influencer Woody Cook - who also happens to be the son of Zoe Ball & DJ Fatboy Slim, and Laura Island star Maura Higgins.
