This is all that remains of a once-legendary nightclub and music venue which had a ‘brilliant’ feature. The Hardrock, in Stretford, played host to the likes of David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Tina Turner, Roxy Music, Slade, and Chuck Berry during the 1970s.
Originally a bowling alley, it later became a B&Q store, which closed down in 2016. Since then, it lay dormant — but demolition teams moved in this week (November 16) to clear the site.
