KEITH JACKSON:Rangers certainly celebrated like it was a win and that’s probably understandable. But Celtic are still top and with home advantage in the next derby.
They could yet look back on this result as the one which kept their title defence on track. CRAIG SWAN: Both. Rangers given the fact they looked beaten for long spells, Celtic given they didn’t lose, played well and have the last Old Firm game at home. FRASER WILSON: Both sides will rightly point to being in control of their own destiny but with the last derby to come at Celtic Park then Brendan Rodgers will no doubt be the happier, even after that late leveller. KEITH JACKSON: Yes.
The penalties may have been soft – as was the foul by Tom Lawrence on Tomoki Iwata that saw a quickfire Rangers equaliser chopped off.
But by the letter of the law all three decisions were correct. All in all, a good day’s work from the officials. CRAIG SWAN: It looks as though Walsh bailed Beaton out time and again with things he didn’t get right.
