‘The Bear’ Star Molly Gordon Signs With WME
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Actress, writer and director Molly Gordon has signed with WME for representation. Gordon can currently be seen portraying Claire in the second season of the FX/Hulu Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning series, The Bear, created by Christopher Storer.
She stars opposite Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White. Both Storer and White are also WME clients. The Searchlight Pictures film Theater Camp (2023)—a feature-length adaptation of the 2020 short film of the same name— served as Gordon and Nick Lieberman’s directorial debuts.
Additionally, Gordon and Lieberman penned the screenplay alongside Ben Platt and Noah Galvin with Gordon co-starring opposite Galvin, Platt, Jimmy Tatro, Edebiri and Amy Sedaris.
The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival where the ensemble won the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award. Additionally, Gordon starred in Emma Seligman’s indie feature, Shiva Baby, which won the John Cassavetes Award at the 2022 Film Independent Spirit Awards.
