The Batman remains a hit. The Robert Pattinson-led DC Comics film stayed at No.
1 for a third week at the box office, Variety reported. Click inside to read more… The movie brought in $36.8 million from 4,302 theaters in its third weekend, pushing ticket sales past $300 million in North America, making it the second pandemic-era movie to cross that figure after Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The movie also opened in China to $12.1 million, and added $49.1 million from 76 overseas markets, making its global total $598 million to date.
It’s a win for the studio: the movie cost $200 million to make, and millions more to market. It was also revealed when the movie would be heading to HBO Max for streaming at home – and it all happened because of a website error.
