‘The Apprentice’: Ali Abbasi’s Donald Trump & Roy Cohn Early Days Movie Returning To Cinemas

EXCLUSIVE: The Apprentice is heading back into theaters after scoring two Oscar nominations for its stars Sebastian Stan in Best Actor and Jeremy Strong in Best Supporting Actor.

The Apprentice will play this Friday in Los Angeles at Laemmle’s Monica Theatre in Santa Monica and Noho Theatre in North Hollywood as well as the Lumiere at the Music Hall in Beverly Hills in addition to other theaters across the country including the Angelika in Washington D.C.

and the Tower in Sacramento. The Apprentice will return to New York theaters on Friday, Feb. 7. The Briarcliff Entertainment and Rich Spirit movie follows Donald Trump (Stan) during his early New York City real estate days as he’s mentored by an unscrupulous attorney Roy Cohn (Strong).

The Ali Abassi directed movie was written by Gabriel Sherman. Oscar nominee Maria Bakalova stars as Ivana Trump. Stan’s performance, Abassi’s direction, and the editors were also nominated by the Independent Spirit Awards; with Strong also nominated at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
