John was perched outside the McDonald's when customer, Stephen Flynn, stumbled upon him while grabbing breakfast with a friend.
They asked John to play a tune, and the interaction went viral. The clip rocketed to popularity on the internet, and in no time, 59-year-old John was invited to perform at The Slaughter House in Liverpool, and money was raised to support him.
John played to an enthusiastic crowd at the venue on Wednesday (August 27). Expressing his astonishment, John told the ECHO: "The reaction has been incredible.
