Several Manchester United supporters have hit out referee Jonathan Moss for his refusal to give Cristiano Ronaldo a penalty during the first half of this afternoon's clash with West Ham United at Old Trafford.
With 36 minutes on the clock, the Portuguese star, who was largely starved of service during the first half, went down inside the penalty area under a challenge from Hammers defender Kurt Zouma.
Looking to bring Alex Telles' high ball under his spell, Ronaldo went down when he felt a push in the back and on the shoulders from the Frenchman, sparking cries of 'penalty' from those in the stands, whilst the former Real Madrid star turned round expecting to see Moss pointing to the spot.
Instead, the experienced Premier League whistle-blower waved away Ronaldo's protests, signalling play on, whilst VAR had a close look at the incident.
