With nine months to go before the 93rd Oscars, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science has confirmed they are considering postponing the event due to the global pandemic.
The virus was active when the 92nd edition of the award ceremony was taking place and if the pandemic is still gripping the globe next year, postponing the event might be unavoidable.
Variety is reporting that multiple sources are claiming the Academy is considering postponing the event that is due to take place on February 28, 2021 but nothing is set in stone as of yet.
