A Royal apology has come from Kate Middleton after multiple questions were raised about the first picture of her since her surgery.

So much so, that top news agencies believe it's been tweaked digitally. The photo, which sees the Princess of Wales with her arms around her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, is said to have been taken by Prince William and was posted on Mother's Day (Sunday, 10 March).

But the published snap, saw Kate issue a public apology for the changes she had made to it. Taking to their official Instagram account, Kate wrote: "Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing.

I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day.
