Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly has teased that one celebrity is "not to be missed" in the upcoming live show. Chatting with Vernon Kay on his Radio 2 programme, Tess couldn't contain her excitement, saying "the excitement is palpable" as they gear up for Saturday's extravaganza.

She singled out football legend Paul Merson, who's dancing with Karen Hauer, as a must-see despite him being tipped by bookies as the first to leave.

Yet, Tess is championing him as a dark horse in the competition. On-air, Tess was brimming with anticipation: "The excitement is palpable in the studio today.

It's really building, because all 15 celebrities are dancing live for the very first time on tomorrow night's show." She added, "Costumes are being finalised, fake tan sessions are being booked.
