Which is why one savvy shopper took social media to share how she set the task of living off one weeks worth of food that cost her just under £7.

Budgeting influencer Kathryn, also known as @Everylittlepenny, took to TikTok to share videos on how she challenged herself to live off £1 a day with food bought from Aldi, Tesco and Lidl, reports BirminghamLive.

In a series of videos titled "Living Off £1 A Day", the money-conscious shopper explains how she managed to pick budget groceries for pennies, including peaches for 31p, a carrot for 6p, onion for 11p and chopped tinned tomatoes at 28p from Tesco.
