EXCLUSIVE: Independent Artist Group has signed Terrence Howard, the Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe-winning actor known for roles in Hustle & Flow, Crash and Empire, for representation.
Howard earned those accolades for his starring turn in the former Paramount film from director Craig Brewer, which had him starring as DJay, a Memphis pimp in the midst of a mid-life crisis who hustles his way toward becoming a successful hip-hop emcee.
For his turn as TV director Cameron Thayer in the Lionsgate Best Picture winner Crash, examining interweaving stories of race, loss and redemption amongst L.A.
citizens leading vastly different lives, he received the National Board of Review Award for Breakthrough Performance. Among those starring opposite him there were Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle, Brendan Fraser, and Matt Dillon.
