The new Christopher Nolan movie Tenet will be hitting theaters in the United States on September 3, but only select cities will get to see the movie.

Warner Bros. just announced that the movie is going to be released internationally in more than 70 countries on August 26, followed by the Labor Day weekend release in the states.

The movie was supposed to hit theaters on July 17, but the coronavirus pandemic has caused the release to be delayed. Now, only cities that allow movie theaters to reopen will be playing the film.

This means that New York City and Los Angeles, the two biggest movie-going cities in the country, might not be playing the film on the weekend of release, according to THR.
