Temples have shared the hazy single ‘Day Of Conquest’ and announced a new ‘Other Structures’ EP.Out on October 4 via Fat Possum, the ‘Other Structures’ EP is a collection of B-sides released to mark the tenth anniversary of ‘Sun Structures’, with ‘Day of Conquest’ a never-before-heard track from the original album sessions.
You can pre-save the album here.“‘Day of Conquest’ was part of the ‘Sun Structures’ album demos, and it probably would have been on the album, but we ran out of run time on the LP,” said singer and guitarist James Bagshaw in a press release.“I remember being fond of this song, and it was a pleasant surprise to go back and unearth the sonic layering.
I love how the sections contrast in an interesting way, and the fact there isn’t really a chorus.”The upcoming EP will feature four B-sides and two remixes from The SLP (Kasabian) and Robert Levon Been (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club).
Accompanying the release of ‘Day of Conquest’ is a music video showing the band performing live, alongside some behind-the-scenes footage. The psychedelic rockers are also marking the 10th anniversary of their debut with a US tour this autumn.
