Like Ade + Ayo, a line of baby and kids clothing created using traditional African-inspired prints founded by Temidayo Odusolu.When Temidayo Odusolu was pregnant with her son, she began to think about how she could seamlessly incorporate her Nigerian heritage into his babyhood.
The sound of her country’s music, the smell of the food, and the vibrant colors and patterns of the clothing had always felt like home to her, and she wanted him to feel the same.“My Nigerian culture has been a source of pride and joy for me, and I wanted it to be that for my son as well,” she tells Glamour. “When I went searching for products that were drawn from African cultures and could integrate easily into my baby’s life, I was surprised at how hard these products were to find.”Her experience led her to start in 2020, a kids and baby brand with patterns and designs inspired by those she would find in Nigeria and other countries in the continent.
