Telegraph pole madness as Scots couple find 30ft eyesore 'plonked' in garden after visiting dying mum in hospital

But when digital inclusion worker Ian Brown returned home to find a 27ft telegraph pole had gone up on his front lawn without his permission, it was a step too far, even for him.

The furious homeowne r is now fighting to have the imposing structure, which is “plonked” just a few feet from his living room window, removed.

Mr Brown, 61, from Alva, Clackmannanshire, claims the first he knew about it was when he and wife Allison, 59, arrived home after visiting her dying mother in hospital.He said there had been no letters forewarning him about it and he was “horrified” to find a note
