Teenager taken to hospital after smash between car and van in Dukinfield

A teenager was taken to hospital after a smash between a car and a van in Dukinfield on Sunday evening (July 3). Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash, on Cheetham Hill Road, at around 5pm.

The car was carrying four passengers, including two teenagers, who were all seen to by paramedics at the scene. One of the teenage passengers was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Shortly after the crash, which happened outside the Premier convenience store, emergency services closed off the road before the two vehicles involved were then recovered. Police blocked off the road for around two hours following the smash. A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At around 5pm this evening (Sunday 3 July), we were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Cheetham Hill Road in Dukinfield, Tameside involving a car and a van. “Four people were inside the car including a man, a woman and two teenagers who all received treatment from North West Ambulance Service.
