A teenager in a wheelchair was mugged for her mobile phone as she waited for her helper outside Tesco. Ella Rose, 17, has spina bifida and hydrocephalus and is paralysed from the chest down.
The youngster's father Jack Rose said she was "pounced on" after she got out her phone to call her personal assistant outside the supermarket in West Street, Sheffield.
Mr Rose: "Ella has only just been allowed to go out again and she went to town with her PA, who had gone in to the shop. "Ella had got her phone out to call her from outside and ask her to buy peanut butter or something and an opportunist pounced, wrestled the phone from her and legged it." Luckily, Ella was not hurt in the mugging but Mr Rose said that she was quite shaken as nothing
