A teenager has been arrested in connection with the death of a man following a 'stabbing' in Fraserburgh on Sunday. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance on Watermill Road in the Aberdeenshire town around 6pm on June 4.
A 24-year-old man was found with serious injuries and he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. A teenager was also taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
It is understood the incident was a stabbing. Police have now confirmed a 19-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident.Images shared on social media showed a large-scale police and ambulance presence on the street as a cordon was erected, watched by shocked locals.The air ambulance was also called to the scene in Fraserburgh last night.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was called to assist with the incident for around two hours, leaving the scene shortly before 8pm.Area commander Chief Inspector Sam Buchan said: “Our thoughts are with the deceased man’s loved ones at this difficult time.
