Police are appealing for information after a teenager was raped in a wooded area near a castle in Scotland. The girl was with friends in the woods near Bothwell Castle, in South Lanarkshire, between 5.45pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday.
After breaking away from them, she was approached by a man who then raped her. The man is described as white, in his 20s, with a slim build and shaved head and was wearing a red T-shirt and blue shorts.
He was riding a black mountain bike with green neon writing on the frame and tyre which was also fitted with mud guards to the front and rear wheels.
Officers are still gathering CCTV footage but have appealed for information on the incident or suspect with a "fairly distinctive" bike.
