Teenage boy 'stabbed' in Glasgow as cops launch probe into street attack

A 16-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after reportedly being stabbed in Glasgow last night. Emergency services rushed to Langbar Crescent in Easterhouse at around 7.45pm after reports of a serious assault, which is understood to have involved a blade.The boy was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment following the attack.

His injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.An image from the scene shows a police cordon on the nearby streets with a number of officers on the ground.A car can be seen sitting stationary in the middle of the road, as locals gather around the attack site.Police Scotland have launched a probe into the incident and have urged anyone with information to come forward.Detective Constable Nicola Baird said: “Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the attack are ongoing and we’re asking for anyone with information, or who witnessed anything suspicious in the area, to please come forward.“You can contact police on 101, quoting incident 3743 of 18 August, 2023.
