Teen Louise Smith 'seen getting into red van on day she vanished' as police find body

A neighbour saw a girl getting into a red van with bags of clothes on the day teenager Louise Smith vanished, it is reported.

Louise, 16, has been missing since May 8, VE Day. On Thursday police searching for her found a body in a forested area in Havant, Hampshire.

Although authorities have yet to formally identify the body, the death is being treated as suspicious. Yesterday police spent hours searching a flat belonging to a married couple where Louise had been staying, according to reports.

It came as friends of the teenager told of their devastation at the discovery of a body. A family friend told MailOnline that Louise had been under the care of a married couple, who lived in a first-floor flat in Havant, before she went missing.
