A schoolgirl who was fatally stabbed in the neck at a Christmas lights switch-on had been"dancing with her mates" just moments before, a court heard.
A 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has denied murdering Ava White as his trial started today (May 9) at Liverpool Crown Court, the Mirror reports.
Jurors were told how Ava arrived with a group of family and friends, aged between 11-15, to watch the festivities in Liverpool City Centre on November 25, 2021.
12-year-old Ava had been "drinking a small amount of vodka" and "dancing and singing" with her friends when she noticed that another group - including Boy A had been filming them on Snapchat, Charlotte Newell QC prosecuting said.
