Two people have been injured and a teenager charged after a car allegedly smashed into a house in Fife. Emergency services were called to the scene on Woodside Way in Glenrothes shortly before 8pm on Friday.Pictures from the scene show a car resting inside the living room of the property, which was left with a massive gaping hole in the wall.
A 67-year-old man, who lives in the house, was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where medical staff describe his condition as stable.A 67-year-old woman who was inside the property was uninjured.
A female passenger in the car, 18, was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy where she was treated and has since been dischargedThe 18-year-old male driver of the car was uninjured.
Police Scotland have confirmed he has now been arrested and charged with alleged road traffic offences and will appear in court at a later date.A statement from the force said: “Around 7.50pm on Friday, July 21, a white Vauxhall Corsa crashed into the living room of a house on Woodside Way near Woodside Road, Glenrothes.“The 67-year-old male occupant of the house was seriously injured and was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where medical staff describe his condition as stable.
