Teen camper records giant 'panther' feasting on 'dead sheep' in Peak District

A teen camper was left shocked after spotting a 'panther' feeding on a dead sheep in the Peak District - sparking concerns that the big cat is roaming the British countryside.

Josh Williams, 17, and his friend Ben Burns had spent the night wild camping when they noticed the large animal near Jacob's Ladder on Monday.

The hillwalker said they were heading towards Mermaid's Pool on Kinder Scout towards Edale when they spotted the beast in a nearby field.

They initially thought it was a wild cat and could hear it chomping on the carcass of what appeared to be a dead sheep, the Mirror reports.
