Chris Dawson has been found guilty of murdering his wife more than 40 years ago so that he could be with their teen babysitter.
The former rugby star was charged with killing his partner Lynette Dawson at their Northern Beaches home in Sydney, Australia back in 1982.
Her body was never discovered. Dawson, 74, had always maintained his innocence in relation to his wife's disappearance. Today, four decades later, New South Wales supreme court Justice Ian Harrison found him guilty of her murder, the Mirror reports.
Prosecutors stated that the ex-sportsman had been determined to continue his affair with then-16-year-old Joanne Curtis, who was one of his students during his time as a PE teacher at Cromer High School.
