Taylor Swift scoops a new US chart record as her Folklore album returns to Number 1 in America for a seventh non-consecutive week at the top.
Reclaiming Number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with the album, Taylor has clocked up a total of 47 cumulative weeks at Number 1 across all of her albums in the US, surpassing Whitney Houston's 46 weeks to land a new record among female artists.
Whitney's previous chart record spanned four albums: her self-titled debut (14 weeks, 1986), Whitney (11 weeks, 1987), The Bodyguard soundtrack (20 weejs, 1992-1993) and I Look To You (one week, 2009).
Taylor's new record spans all but one of her studio albums, with her 2006 self-titled debut the only one not to top the US chart, peaking at Number 5.
