Taylor Swift's praised for giving 'incredible gift' after every UK performance

Taylor Swift has been praised for "doing more" than the Government to help combat food poverty after kindly donating to food banks in every UK city she's performed in.

Over the weekend, the 34-year-old songstress brought the first part of her UK leg to a successful close after putting on a show-stopping performance in cities such as London and Edinburgh.All the while off-camera, Taylor has continued her tremendous efforts in bettering the lives of less fortunate people by contributing to a number of food banks nationwide.

To much appreciation, the 'Anti-hero' vocalist's donation towards the Cardiff Foodbank has been recorded as the largest ever received by the organisation.Chief executive Rachel Biggs told The Guardian: "We're going to buy an articulated lorry full of food and other most-needed items to supplement our emergency food parcels."Biggs further elaborated on just how much of an impact Taylor's money will make, adding: "This will provide the weight equivalent to feeding 1,200 people three meals a day, for three days or 10,800 meals.

This will be 2.5 weeks of what we typically distribute." She further explained that the "breathing space" provided by the funds will allow her team to "lift our heads and shift our focus from the food bank to the creation of a sustainable operation" that not only supports those in need but also tackles the underlying causes of poverty, reports the Mirror.Moreover, Rachel pointed out that this assistance would contribute to "financial support to set them on the path to not needing our aid anymore".Taylor has also made a significant contribution to St Andrew's Community Network in Liverpool, which operates 11 food banks and provides long-term support through eight community pantries.R
