Sunday night’s telecast got the Taylor’s Version treatment and delivered a total audience of 24.32 million viewers and scoring the highest among female demographics across the ages of 12-17, 18-49 this week.
Aside from Patrick Mahomes’ successful performance, the game featured a notable cameo from Taylor Swift, who reportedly watched the game from a suite alongside Chiefs player Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna, as the Chiefs completely wiped out the competition, ending the game with a score of 10-41.
The appearance likely boosted the game’s ratings as fans of the “Afterglow” singer reacted to circulating rumors of a budding romance with Kelce.
In relation to last year’s figures, the showdown just barely missed the mark by 8%. Last year’s Game of the Week performance recorded a total of 26.4 million viewers.
