A taxi has burst into flames in a car park area at Glasgow Airport this evening.Fire crews raced to Car Park 2, outside the main terminal at the airport, after the alarm was raised at around 6.30pm on Thursday.
Footage taken from the scene, which was sent to the Record, showed the taxi engulfed in flames. Shocked travellers could be seen watching on the ground floor of the multi-story car park as smoke billowed up into the sky.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they quickly sent one appliance to the scene.It's understood the fire has now been extinguished but crews remain in attendance.
The cause of the blaze is currently unclear but it's not believed anyone has been injured as a result. Car Park 2 was closed while emergency services remained at the scene.
