Taran Killam Drops Out of 'Urinetown' Musical After Losing Home in Los Angeles Fires

Taran Killam will no longer be appearing the New York City Center’s upcoming Encores! production of Urinetown after he tragically lost his home in the Los Angeles Fires.

The former Saturday Night Live actor was set to lead the production as Officer Lockstock, but the role will now be played by Broadway star Greg Hildreth.

City Center confirmed the casting change in an email sent to ticketholders on Friday (January 17). Keep reading to find out more… “Unfortunately Taran Killam, previously announced to play the role of Lockstock, has been impacted by the devastating fires in Los Angeles and is no longer able to participate in the production,” the statement read. Jordan Fisher, Stephanie Styles, Keala Settle, Rainn Wilson, and Christopher Fitzgerald are all starring in the upcoming production, which runs from February 5 to February 16.
