Todd Field has revealed that he crashed his car while trying to cast Cate Blanchett in their new collaboration, Tár.The Oscar-nominated filmmaker, 58, speaking to Variety in a joint interview with the actress, 53, said that he was chatting with Blanchett’s agent Hylda Queally in September 2020 when the unfortunate accident took place.He said that prior to the crash, Queally had informed him that the Academy Award-winning actress was committed to other projects over the next three years.
