Tamar Braxton was almost a Housewife! During a recent appearance on Carlos King‘s podcast Reality with the King, the 47-year-old singer and reality star revealed that she was offered the chance to join the cast of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta. For Tamar, she isn’t a big fan of the Real Housewives format, which often shows the cast mates arguing in event settings. “I can’t do it.

What does that do for me in my life? Like, what’s the argument? I can’t,” Tamar said. “It’s not worth my mental to sit up here and get into an argument with another Black, beautiful woman about nothing so other people can think this is what we’re about,” Tamar continued. “At some point, you have to have responsibility in what you put on the TV screen.
