Leo Barraclough International Features Editor Talpa Studios, the independent global content house founded by John de Mol, has revealed that the internationally successful quiz format “The Floor” has reached a new milestone: in just one and a half years, the format has been sold to 20 countries.
Five new territories have joined the list of adaptations, solidifying its position as one of the fastest-growing formats worldwide, with recordings for multiple countries taking place at Talpa’s production hub in the Netherlands.
The latest additions to the list of broadcasters are Finland’s MTV3, Denmark’s TV2, Uruguay’s Teledoce/Canal 12, Chile’s TVN and an Australian buyer as yet unannounced, bringing the total number of markets to 20.
Since its launch in the Netherlands in 2023, the show has been sold in major markets like the U.S., France, Spain and Germany, as well as Latin American and Scandinavian territories.
