Dan Auerbach‘s band The Arcs have announced their first album in eight years, ‘Electrophonic Chronic’.The Black Keys frontman’s side project released their debut studio record, ‘Yours, Dreamily’, back in 2015. Its 12-track follow-up is due to arrive on January 27, 2023 via Auerbach’s own label Easy Eye Sound (pre-order here).Today (October 13), The Arcs have shared the first preview of the forthcoming project in the form of ‘Keep On Dreamin”, which arrives with an animated official video by Robert “Roboshobo” Schober.‘Electrophonic Chronic’ will also include the cuts ‘Heaven Is A Place’, ‘A Man Will Do Wrong’, ‘Backstage Mess’ and ‘Love Doesn’t Live Here Anymore’.The Arcs’ original line-up – completed by Leon Michels, Nick Movshon, Homer Steinweiss, and the late Richard Swift (who died in 2018, aged 41) – contributed to the new album, per a press release.It was recorded between Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville, Electric Lady in Manhattan, and Michels’ Diamond Mine in Queens, New York.

Back in August, Branch told police officers called to her home that she had slapped Carney in the face “one or two times”. Two weeks later, the case was dismissed at the request of the state.“I don’t condone violence,” Branch told Hall.

Shortly afterwards, it was reported that Branch had filed for divorce from Carney, citing “irreconcilable differences”.Now, as Rolling Stone reports, a court order signed on Tuesday (Wednesday 13) by a Tennessee judge states that divorce proceedings are “suspended without prejudice” for the six-month period.“During the period of suspension the parties may participate in counseling services to effectuate reconciliation and/or may resume living together as husband and wife,” the court order continues.“Their acts and conduct in doing so shall not be determined condonation of any prior misconduct and all acts or actions by the parties prior to the entry of this order shall remain and constitute grounds for divorce.”As Rolling Stone points out, to win divorce proceedings, Tennessee law requires spouses cite grounds such as adultery, abandonment or uncontested irreconcilable differences.It was reported on August 11 that Branch and Carney had separated.

Gibbons of ZZ Top and former Kings Of Leon co-writer and producer Angelo Petraglia.The track begins at a relatively sedate pace as Dan Auerbach languidly sings “You got a love that’s a real longshot / Breakin’ the bank for your new weed spot / And she comes around, you lay your money down”.

The Black Keys have shared new track ‘Going Down South’, the second track to arrive from their new blues covers album, ‘Delta Kream’.The Ohio duo – comprised of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney – will drop the 11-track collection on May 14, marking their first release since their ninth studio record ‘Let’s Rock’ (2019).‘Going Down South’ – which follows last month’s ‘Crawling Kingsnake’ – sees the pair delivering their take on the original track by Robert Lee Burnside. “That was one of R.L. Burnside’s hits!” Auerbach said of the song.
