Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg has opened up about mentally processing his exit from Slipknot.During an appearance on an episode of the One Life One Chance With Toby Morse podcast, the current Suicidal Tendencies drummer addressed being suddenly fired from Slipknot last year.Last November, after the Iowa band announced the drummer’s departure, Weinberg said he was “heartbroken and blindsided” by the news, and went on to share that despite that, he “wouldn’t trade for the world” his “memories and experiences” with them.“Truth be told, I’m at kind of a point where I’m not quite yet really ready to talk about it, really,” he said (as transcribed by Blabbermouth). “And that’s not to dismiss the conversation, but I’ve spent time, and spend time, just processing the entire experience.“And the experience not being the last six months, but really the last 10 years [of playing with Slipknot].

This will seemingly take shape as his debut solo project – which he says has been in the works for years, and will seeming see him play guitar as well.He wrote on Instagram: “One of my ambitions for 2025 is to record more music in the studio — starting with my own material I’ve been writing for quite a while.

Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg has filled in on ‘Radio Nowhere’ for his father, Max Weinberg, the long-time drummer for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, in a concert last month.In an interview with Headbangers News, he touched on being a part of Springsteen’s Barcelona show on June 22, saying: “For Bruce to basically say, like, ‘All right, it’s Saturday night in Barcelona. We’re gonna use a shot of that energy’ that I brought to the song ‘Radio Nowhere’, that was a true honour.“I hadn’t played with them in 15 years.

Slipknot drummer who was fired from the band, has now revealed that he has joined Suicidal Tendencies.In December of last year, Slipknot shared an official statement on social media, claiming that they were “intent on evolving”, and made the “creative decision” that Weinberg will leave the band. His departure was 10 years after he joined the line-up, and just months after keyboardist Craig Jones left the group in June.Following the announcement, Weinberg went online to reveal how he was left “heartbroken and blindsided” by the decision.Today (March 5) Weinberg took to his official Instagram account to announce that he has joined the California crossover thrash icons as their full time drummer.

Suicidal Tendencies at a recent show in Mexico City.The Metallica bassist, who left Suicidal Tendencies in 1995, filled in for the band’s bassist Tye due to his son having a scheduling conflict with his other band, OTTTO.Trujillo saved the day by performing with his old band last Thursday (October 26) at the House of Vans in Mexico City.Among the setlist songs were ‘Institutionalized’, ‘You Can’t Bring Me Down,’ and ‘Send Me Your Money’. The set was heavy on material from 1990’s ‘Lights… Camera… Revolution!’, which is one of Suicidal Tendencies’ most celebrated albums and the first to feature Trujillo on bass.Suicidal Tendencies thanked Trujillo for his efforts, writing in a post shared on Instagram on Saturday (October 28) that words “can’t express the gratitude” they have.“We were stoked to get a call from Vans about playing their House of Vans in Mexico City.

Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir fell off stage during the band’s show in Ontario, California on Saturday (September 23) – watch the video below.The hardcore punk legends were opening for US metal band Danzig when Muir took a tumble off the front of the stage at the Toyota Arena.The band were playing their opening song of the set, ‘You Can’t Bring Me Down’, which is taken from their 1990 album ‘Lights… Camera… Revolution!’.Footage captured by a fan shows the moment that Muir missteps as he walks near the edge of the stage. A few seconds later, with the aid of a technician, Muir is able to get back to his feet to complete the song, seemingly unaffected by the fall.As well as Danzig, the bands Behemoth, Twin Temple and Midnight were also on the bill.Next month, Suicidal Tendencies will play a number of shows in the US to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their debut self-titled album, including at New York City’s Terminal 5 on October 15 and two dates at The UC Theatre in Berkeley, California on October 19 and 20.

Suicidal Tendencies, has died at the age of 58 following a motorcycling accident.Heathcote’s son, Chris, confirmed the news in a Facebook post published yesterday (July 24). Part of his message read: “I cannot put words together other than the fact that this is a loss I will hardly recover (if ever), and the fact that he was a hard working father who raised five children, including me.”The post said that Bob died from a motorbike accident. Both the nature of the incident and the time that it happened are unknown.Bob played in Suicidal Tendencies in the late ’80s and contributed to the band’s third album, 1988’s ‘How Will I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can’t Even Smile Today’.
