SHINee member Taemin has confirmed that he will be leaving SM Entertainment after 16 years at the K-pop agency.SHINee’s Taemin recently addressed his status as an artist with SM Entertainment in a message posted on fan community app Bubble, where he confirmed that he would be “embarking on a new journey soon”, per Korea JoongAng Daily.“I made the decision to leave the company last year,” the K-pop idol explained, adding that he has also “talked with the other members [of SHINee]” regarding his decision to leave his long-time label.Taemin also spoke about how he had “wanted to break the news carefully to not cause any unnecessary concern”, while also thanking “everyone who has helped me so far” as well as “those who have faith in my decision and support me”.“I believe better things are coming and I will make sure they do,” the singer added. “I ask for your continued support in the future, both as a member of SHINee and as Taemin.”Taemin’s confirmation comes shortly after South Korean media reported that the singer would be leaving SM Entertainment this month after his current contract expires.

SHINee member Taemin and Onew will reportedly leave SM Entertainment sometime this year after their contracts with the K-pop agency expire.Yesterday (March 5), South Korean news outlets SpoTV News and YTN reported in separate stories that SHINee members Taemin and Onew would be leaving SM Entertainment following the expiration of their contracts. The duo have been with the K-pop agency since 2008, when they debuted as members of SHINee.SM Entertainment has since responded to the reports, saying that while “future plans remain unconfirmed” for the pair, they are “actively considering various options”, per The Korea Times.

K-pop boy band RIIZE recently performed covers of songs by SHINee and Lee Hyo-ri.RIIZE recently made an appearance on veteran singer Lee Hyo-ri’s music talk show The Seasons: Lee Hyo-ri’s Red Carpet. Key, a member of K-pop boyband SHINee, has announced his new mini-album, ‘Good & Great’.Today (August 21), Key announced through the official SHINee Twitter account that he’ll be releasing his second solo mini-album, titled ‘Good & Great’, this September.‘Good & Great’ will be Key’s second solo release of 2023, following ‘Killer’ in February. The latter was a repackaged version of his sophomore studio album ‘Gasoline’, which dropped in August 2022, featuring three new songs.Key’s ‘Good & Great’ will be released on September 11 at 6pm KST.

K-pop boyband SHINee are set to release their own documentary film later this year.Today (July 5), SM Entertainment announced that a documentary film for boyband SHINee is currently in the works, and will be released this September to commemorate the group’s 15th anniversary.Titled My SHINee World, the upcoming film will include never-before-seen content from the group as it outlines their 15-year career and journey with their fans thus far.The agency also shared in a press release that footage from SHINee’s recent three-night concert leading up to their comeback at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, along with behind-the-scenes footage and interviews will be included in the documentary film.Last week, SHINee made a comeback with their eighth studio album ‘Hard’ and its lead single of the same name. Onew of K-pop boyband SHINee is going on hiatus ahead of the group’s upcoming comeback.Onew’s label SM Entertainment announced today (June 9) via its fan community platform Kwangya Club that the K-pop idol would be going on a temporary hiatus ahead of the group’s long-awaited comeback. The statement has also since been published on Twitter by SM Town USA.In the statement, SM Entertainment said that Onew had “visited the hospital after experiencing health issues”, with doctors advising the K-pop idol that he “will be needing medical care and rest”.“After careful and extensive discussion with Onew and the group, a decision was made to have Onew focus on recovering for the time being,” SM Entertainment said, adding that the singer would be “unable to participate in the upcoming concert and album activities”.The K-pop agency also stated that SHINee’s upcoming concert and album activities will proceed with the boyband’s three other members: Key, Minho and Taemin.“We will do out best to assist Onew to meet the fans again in good health and will inform you as soon as he is recovered and able to return to the stage,” SM Entertainment added.

SHINee are set to release a new single, ahead of their upcoming 8th studio album ‘Hard’.At 12am KST today (June 8), SHINee announced that they would be releasing a brand-new single titled ‘Hard’ this weekend.
