Travis Barker endured playing drums with Blink-182 in Manchester recently with bloody knuckles and fingers.The drummer posted a photo on his Instagram Stories, which has since disappeared, following a UK show on Blink’s reunion tour. Blink-182 performed in Manchester on Sunday (October 15) and Monday (October 16).In the image seen by Billboard are close-up cuts and scabs across his fingers and knuckles.

Hayley Williams has revealed US talk show host Jimmy Fallon was an unlikely inspiration behind Paramore‘s music.It comes as Paramore released their remix album ‘Re: This Is Why’ today (October 6), which honours artists who have either influenced the members or who the band have gone on to inspire. In a new appearance on The Tonight Show discussing the album, host Jimmy Fallon asked the frontwoman about her early influences.Alongside Deftones, Failure, and The Cure, she unveiled one more surprising influence: Jimmy Fallon himself.Williams, who met future Paramore members Zac and Josh Farro – the latter of which has since left the band – at a homeschooling supplemental programme in Tennessee, said Fallon’s 2003 comedy song ‘Idiot Boyfriend’ “took over our homeschool”.“[It was a] huge hit with the Paramore crew!” she joked.Fallon then asked Williams if he was the influence for Paramore, and she confirmed: “Yes! 100 per cent!”Williams explained that she discovered Fallon’s deep cut on MTV, which would play every morning that the Paramore band members would meet up: “Your song played more than John Mayer at the same time”, she said.The rock musician went on to praise the ‘Idiot Boyfriend’ music video as “iconic”, which features a fresh-faced Zooey Deschanel.

Paramore have announced the artists that will be featured on their “almost remix” album, ‘Re: This Is Why’.The band have been teasing a release to coincide with the first anniversary of the album’s title track since last week. They confirmed the release of a companion piece to ‘This Is Why’, featuring remixes, reimaginings and rewritten tracks, as well as collaborations. Travis Barker has revealed that he recently had an episode of trigeminal neuralgia, as well as a COVID infection and root canal treatment.The Blink-182 drummer has been plagued by health issues in the last few weeks, joking to fans that it means he “can pretty much handle anything god throws at me”.He wrote on Twitter/X on Friday (September 29): “Last week I had covid, an episode of trigeminal neuralgia, and a root canal. Travis Barker has shared a tribute to his three late friends on the 15th anniversary of a plane crash they were in together.The Blink-182 drummer has spoken at length on numerous occasions about the mental and physical impact of being in a plane crash in 2008, which killed his assistant, Chris Baker, and security guard, Charles “Che” Still, along with both pilots.His friend, Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein survived the crash but died one year later due to an overdose.The group were flying in a private plane from Columbia, South Carolina, to Los Angeles on September 19 when the aircraft experienced an emergency during takeoff. An investigation later found that the tires burst which prompted the pilot to abort the flight, resulting in the plane skidding across the runaway and becoming engulfed in flames.Posting to his Instagram Story for the anniversary, Barker wrote “Rest In Peace” with a dove emoji, followed by the names: “Lil Chris, Che, DJAM”.
