Michael C. Hall — back as serial killer Dexter after an eight year hiatus — has just sold his West Village digs at a loss. The Golden Globe-winning actor, famed for his life and death obsessed roles in “Six Feet Under,” as well as “Dexter” and “Dexter: New Blood,” bought the two-bedroom, two-bathroom killer condo for $4.28 million in 2016.

Michael C. Hall is an actor, musician and producer, perhaps best known for playing a vigilante serial killer in Showtime’s Dexter as well as his memorable take as David Fisher in HBO’s Six Feet Under. The 50-year-old may not be the most well-known face in the industry, but he’s recognized as a singular acting talent, having earned a Golden Globe award and three Screen Actors Guild awards for his performances. The Raleigh, North Carolina native also serves as the lead vocalist for the band Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum and has appeared in various Broadway musicals.

A few things to unpack here. Number one, yes, it’s Comic-Con weekend, this weekend, but it’s been something of a non-existent entity thanks to COVID and once has to wonder if that’s it for Comic-Con’s pop-cultural dominance (though they are apparently trying a bigger, in-person version in the fall).
