Gunna has reportedly surrendered to police after a warrant for his arrest was issued earlier this week as part of an investigation into gang involvement and conspiracy to violate the Georgia criminal racketeering law (RICO). His arrest follows that of Young Thug on Monday on racketeering charges. Michael Seiden, a reporter for WSBTV in Atlanta, shared news of Gunna's surrender on Wednesday.

Lil Durk and Gunna have paid tribute to the late Virgil Abloh with a new music video for ‘What Happened To Virgil’.The music video – released on Tuesday, April 12 – was directed by Cole Bennett and features multiple sets that were inspired by the work of the late Louis Vuitton artistic director and Off White founder. The video also pays respects to Lil Durk’s late brother D Thang and the rapper King Von, who was shot dead in 2020.The video opens with a quote from Abloh that reads: “Life is so short that you can’t waste even a day subscribing to what someone thinks you can do versus knowing what you can do.”Watch the music video for ‘What Happened To Virgil’ below.The video ends with a series of pictures that explain the symbolism of the sets featured in the music video, including Drake’s plane that was painted by Virgil, and the red roof design that was one of the last things Abloh worked on for Louis Vuitton before his passing.Virgil Abloh died in November 2021 after suffering from cancer for several years.

Gunna teamed up last night (April 2) for a Saturday Night Live sketch about the unnecessary length of certain movies – watch the clip below.The pair – along with Chris Redd and Simon Rex – collaborated in a sketch titled ‘Short-Ass Movies’ about how movies that exceed runtimes of 100 minutes are not suitable for late night viewing.Taking aim at films such as The Batman, Amadeus, Heat and Once Upon A Time In America for their extended runtimes, Davidson says he can’t handle any more long movies because he’s “a simple man with no attention span”.“Night after night, there’s only one kind of movie I’m always looking for, and that’s a short-ass movie/ A really short movie, like at most an hour 40/ Gimme a short-ass movie,” Davidson raps in the sketch.Gunna, who was this week’s SNL musical guest, shares Davidson’s distaste for lengthy films, joining the sketch to list off a number of shorter features he prefers: The Lion King, Bad Moms and “all three Austin Powers” films.Elsewhere in the sketch, Davidson reveals that he “pissed himself twice” while watching The Batman because “it was longer than The Hobbit“, and Simon Rex (aka “Dirt Nasty” in the music world) celebrates the short runtime of eight Ernest movies and how “a true thing of beauty is the three-minute short before every Pixar movie”.Davidson also jokes about the runtime of his own movie, The King Of Staten Island, which has a runtime of 2hr 17mins.

Gunna was the musical guest on Thursday night's The Tonight Show. The Atlanta rapper appeared on the show to perform his song "Empire," taken from new album DS4EVER.

Gunna's DS4Ever was last week's best-selling album, Billboard announced yesterday. This news wouldn't be surprising — the Atlanta rapper's last solo full-length, 2020's Wunna, also debuted in the top spot — if the project hadn't arrived the same day as the Weeknd's Dawn FM. Following the record-breaking success of After Hours, the Canadian crooner's new release was expected to coast to victory.

Young Thug and Gunna posting bail for prison inmates in their new video for ‘Pay The Fine’ – watch it below.It had been reported earlier this week that the two rappers had posted bail for 30 low-level inmates who were unable to afford the costs themselves, and the act has now been immortalised in the new video.The people were freed from Fulton County Jail in the two artist’s native Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday (April 25), where they were imprisoned while awaiting trial.“This is where we are from,” Thug said in a press release.
